ÁLVAREZ FACTORY

Remains of Industrial Architecture

In 1927, Manuel Álvarez Pérez founded the Manuel Álvarez e Hijos ceramics company to manufacture and market glass, porcelain and earthenware products. From 1940 onwards, the factory experienced unstoppable growth, but its decline began in the 1970s, marking the end of this industrial empire. Today, the complex, located in Cabral, lies in ruins and has been used to recreate war-torn locations such as Syria in the TV series La Unidad.
